Redesign the outdated website to make it easier for their clients to do business with them. Including streamlining menus, simplifying navigation, building a responsive layout for all platforms and providing more resources and information on their products and services.
The old website wasn’t responsive or user-friendly, however, the firm had concerns about it being updated due to the huge amount of information on there and the impact it could have on SEO rankings. Part of the process was to convince the Board of Directors of the benefits of a re-design and bring them up to date with current best practices.
Imekota instructed Zaliet to build a simple templated website following a clear design brief. Once the bare bones of the site was set up, Imekota worked on transferring content over from the old site. Imekota added new pages for each practice area with re-worded descriptions and updated imagery. All meta descriptions were updated in line with keyword research and fresh content was created to help boost organic SEO.
The imagery for the website, including a rotating header banner on the homepage, was designed and uploaded by Imekota following the digital brand guidelines put forward to Directors. The font, colours, creative, wording and layout of the new website was designed and managed by Imekota with Zailet on hand to add in any 301 re-directs and to make sure the switch from the old host to the new went without any technical issues.
